As an LCSW for over 25 years, I genuinely love connecting with people to develop skills that find greater stability, serenity and internal strength.
In my practice, I emphasize the qualities of strength and resilience, while working to understand the larger patterns of behavior at play.
By working through trauma in tandem with my clients, I am given a better understanding of the deeper origin of the challenges they face. This can help develop skills to reduce issues such as anxiety, emotional reactions, relationship breakdown, substance abuse, disordered eating and many more.
Evidence-based and trauma-informed tools such as EMDR and mindfulness for body-mind regulation are ways that the emotional intensity of issues can be reduced, and made more manageable in your day-to-day life. I also often support and encourage spiritual exploration.
My love of building relationships with people has encouraged me to learn practices that can change self defeating patterns—helping clients learn to live in a way that is more life-giving, open, balanced and stable. This method encourages a holistic approach to healing that looks at the full picture of health and wellness and how they work together—including self-care, healthy coping and relationship skills.
It is an incredibly brave and potentially transformational step to consider counseling. I would sincerely love to connect with you—to help you work through any barriers along the way to becoming your fullest, strongest, most open and authentic self.
